PERSONAL INFORMATION

This app can be used to collect and store personal information of competitors in sporting events such as fun runs, triathlons and trail runs.
The information is stored on your device. It is only uploaded to a cloud server if you are a RaceTec user and are using a valid API key. Competitor personal information is transferred using secure protocols.
If the app is online to RaceTec, then it will upload your current location. You can ask your timing company to disable this feature if you do not want your location tracked.
In some features the app will require access to your camera for recording photographs of competitors and incidents. These photos are uploaded to a secure server and accessed by the timing company using RaceTec. If you do not wish to do this, then do not use the app to take photographs.

All online transfer of data to and from the app will be disabled if you delete the API Key under Settings.

USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Personal information captured for event registration will be used by race timers and race organisers for the purposes of producing winners and results.
We (RaceTec) do not use that information for any other purpose, including marketing and unsolicited emails. We do not give any information to any third party, under any circumstances whatsoever.

DATA RETENTION

Data captured in the app is stored on your device until you clear it, or uninstall the app.
Data stored in our cloud servers is deleted after a maximum of 7 days

DATA SECURITY

To prevent unauthorized access, we have safeguards in place to protect any personal information stored in our cloud servers.
These include, but are not limited to:
- Secure transfer of data to and from the servers
- Encryption of personal information when stored in our databases
- Industry-best practices for securing databases and cloud servers
- Regular monitoring for intrusion attempts (hacks)
- Permanent deletion of any personal data (including backups) after a maximum of 7 days

CHANGES

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
